Our "Heart Hero"

Trista was honored at a local elementary school today, Milford Christian Academy. What an amazing day for Trista! The students had a "jump rope" day for the American Heart Association and invited Trista to come and be the MCA "Heart Hero". We were completely overwhelmed with the unbelievable love that everyone showed us. Each class in the elementary had brought Trista a gift and there were many students who brought their own gift for Trista. There were handmade blankets with Trista's name on it, a diaper cake, a beautiful handmade hanger for all of Trista's bows complete with adorable bows already attached to it and on and on....!! Each student also wrote a letter/card to Trista and I was in tears reading through them this afternoon. All of the prayers that came from this school is awe-inspiring. My heart felt like it was going to explode for Trista as each student came to see her. Here are some pictures of Trista's big day!

They asked me to talk a little about Trista's history and her heart condition. Easy to do when you have the blessing that God has given you in your hands as you speak....definitely helps to ease the nerves. :) The video link is below.

THANK YOU MILFORD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY for a wonderful day!!! :)
