Fun Summer Days!

We have been busy doing lots of fun summer things the past week. First, Scott took Talan to the fair for the first time and OH MAN did he love it! Here is a picture of them before they headed out to see the truck and tractor pulls. I love how he wanted to dress just like his Daddy...work boots and baseball cap - such a little man!

A couple nights later, we took both Talan & Trista to the fair and she was able to experience the loud noises of the trucks. We put some ear plugs in her little ears and she did great! Don't worry - they didn't go all the way in and they were only in her ears for a few minutes. Long enough to get a picture! :)

Talan LOVES him some tractors!

On Saturday night, we took Talan to his very first Reds game. He was so cute - he didn't watch one minute of the game and was more interested in the hot dogs and ice cream, but we had so much fun taking him!

Tonight we had a surprise visit from my sister, Nikki, her boyfriend, Chris, and my niece Elly. We had so much fun visiting with all of them and Trista talked to Nikki like crazy!

We finally have Trista's ear tubes scheduled for August 31st. We have to wait so long because any procedure Trista has will need to be at the main Children's campus downtown due to her heart condition. Even though we have to wait, we understand. We, of course, would want her to be with her cardiologist in the event something would happen.
That's what we've been up to! I hope everyone is enjoying their families too and savoring the summertime! :)

  1. Looks like your family is enjoying the summer!
You will be shocked how quickly the procedure to put tubes in their little ears goes! When my daughter ,Shannon (Madi's Mom) had them put in years ago, we barely got to the waiting room before they called us to say it was over! I didn't even have time to get upset!! It instantly cured the constant ear infections she had for the first 9 months of her life.
Hope you have tons more fun this summer!
    Your babies are beautiful!
